tire and brake life
#2
Well, I replaced tires and front pad/cut rotors on my Max 12k miles ago Tires are 60k tires, so we will see.
My 97 Altima: I am on 2nd set of Yokohama Avid Touring, first lasted 72k, I pulled it off because I did not want to blow one on a highway in the middle of nowhere, but tread is still decent...use them as spairs. right now on the second set of same tire.
Brakes: rear drums last usually about 50k. Front pads about 35k. In 120k miles I did rears twice and fronts 3 times. I have not replaced OR machined front rotors! They bite like new, no vibration. 1st gen Altimas have kick *** brakes even without ABS. Maxima on the other hand.....

I thought I was the only one to notice this. I know I just got my Kumho's about 75K and I am right at 97K and they need to be replaced I know that they are a inexpensive tire but I thought they wore rather fast. and when I have my Piolts, as much as they cost I was expecting at least 50k miles minimum.
