Help! Electrical short

I installed a grounding wire kit and killed my car. I ran a wire from the alternator ground to the negative terminal and from various other engine block bolts to the negative. While doing so, I slipped the negative terminal into place and there was a very mild spark. It sparked slightly more than it would when normally installing a new battery. Anyway, the entire car is dead. The fusable link on the positive terminal blew out. No big deal right but I put both ends of the fusable link wires together on the positive terminal and expect the car to start. Stil nothing. I have checked all the visible small fuses pulling each and every one out. I suspect its a larger relay which cannot be checked by visual inspection. I would appreciate any techincal help on this one. Thanks.
