Engine Lights 0505(idle Air Control Malfunction) ???

00 GLE Auto.

Stalls, MIL 0505 Idle Air Controll Malfunction.

TB Cleaned, better but no help.

Any idea where this sensor is? Pic would be nice. Or how to diagnose/fix it.

Thanks.

It is a motor controlled valve that receives input from the ECU and controls idle speed. It is located right below the throttle body (may need to disconnect the intake hose at the throttle body to see it) Could be a loose connection..check the harness connected to it. Sorry, thats all I know!

It's located under the TB, I have the diagram in the service manual.

If you could tell me how to send just one page from a 100MB PDF file I'd be glad to email it over to you.

Should this be the same for a 2002 Max? That's a big file for emailing. Can someone host it on a server? Thanks.

i understand that there is stalling but a code of 0505 means no malfunction detected. where did you read that 0505 indicated an issue? perhaps you have the code confused?

The whole PDF is around 100MB and hundreds of pages long but I'm sure there is a way to send just one page. Anyone know how?

if you have adobe acrobat distiller, then you're allowed to edit pdf's....in this case you would simply right click and choose "extract page(s)" and that's it. then just save that new pdf. OR if you dont' have distiller, you can get a free pdf creator called CutePDF. download GNC ghost which handles the pdf and then CuteWriter which installs the pdf "printer". its simply a printer that pops up on your printers list, but instead prints to file of type PDF. you can print that 1 pdf page and it will print to another PDF
site is www.cutepdf.com
enjoy...i 0wn.
