2k3 Warped Rotor Question

Sorry to bring this back to life, but was there a recall or TSB for front rotors being warped on the Max's?

No. There is only a brake "judder" TSB but only applies to 2000-2001, I believe. Check the TSB stickie in this forum.

You should be able to have Nissan replace them under your warranty if you're under 36k miles.

I've got 30K on mine and the brakes are smooth as day 1, should get at least 40K out of the originals.

Rotors have a minimum thickness... For the Max front rotors is 22mm. After cutting them twice, they a pretty much at about that limit and cannot be cut again... Of course, dealers know that. When I went for a third time complaining about vibrations when braking, hoping they would replace them (they had cut them twice already abd the car was still under warranty), tech denied it was the rotors... and suggested tire rotation/balancing and alignment.

Anyone have luck with dealers repairing front brake shuddering on 2002 Maxima's? I went to a local shop and they stated I need new pads and rotors ($400). But, they said there is a TSB out for my car and that I should bring to dealer. The TSB # the local shop gave me was NTB-00-033A. Searching that TSB number I can't find anything.

I have 25,000 miles on my 2002 SE.

Your input on what dealers have done for you, and if you have seen this TSB is appreciated.
