Or how about when you wash the inner fender plasic liners, knowing they will get dirty immediately? Or taking the tires off the car just to wash the backside of the wheel/tire? Guilty on both counts!

Hey that's not being ****, just diligent. I'm too lazy to wash the back side of the wheel but it's madd dirty.
I once removed all the hubcaps from my 4th gen and handwashed the backsides. Took me about 40 mins.

I would suggest to take out the leather seat and replace it with plastic stool.

I would guess alll 2000s do that. I like driving at night with no dash lights (cruise) and one night I spotted the reflection of one of switches a window.

Re: Re: you know your ****....

**** but a damned good idea! Car wash shops often botch any job they are given. There is only 1 I trust in my city (over 1 million people) and it's from a place that I lived at while I was a kid. I go there when I can. The one great thing about the place is how they do the windows. Every *&#$%^&*&^^ place I go to screw up the windows. This place windex-es the inside windows TWICE!

You know when...

You realize that the odometer and trip number stay on for about 20 seconds after you turn off the car.

damn, you guys took almost all of my answers. How about this: After driving your car, you use a cotton rag to clean the brake dust off of your rims every day. Keeps the rims nice and shiny and makes them a snap to clean when you wash your car.

when you...

dont stop at a shop you really need to, skip a good movie or cancel otherwise good plans because there arent any 'good' parking places. there are spots... but none that give enough clearance or 'buffer zone' that you can actually enjoy yourself should you leave the car there..

My wife can sense this. No questions asked she knows if I'm going to worry about it, there no use leaving it there.

Ooooh. You can get in trouble for that.

I relate to the towel in the trunk. Got a first aid kit in the trunk with towels, Armor-All wipes, and torque wrench just in case.

When I'm at school for most of the year, my mom uses the Max, and my mom and dad carpool just because they don't want to put mileage on the Max and to keep it clean.

I washed and polished the car yesterday, and wiped it down twice today! Twice because I wiped it once then, took it out to run an errand and it just happened to drizzle a tiny bit. Now that's ****.

A torque wrench in the trunk, huh? Hmmmm...for those emergency, while-on-the-road mods, eh?

equilizer!!

reminds me of a road rage story...my friend was driving along with myself and 3 chicks in the back seat when a black 5.0 stang zooms past.. in an attempt to impress the girls, my friend speeds up and cuts the guy off..he bugs, gets in front of us and jams the brakes, won't let us get by, so finally he slows down, pulls over to the next lane, gets next to us and starts running his mouth.. now my friend is a BIG kid.. 6'7", 300+lbs.. he figures, what the hell, i'll just get out and beat his ***.. so the guy gets out of his car, and we're about to get out of our car, all of a sudden he pulls out 2 huge crowbars as equilizers.. we figured, the only equilizers we had in the car would have been to sacrifice one of the girls in the back seat, so instead we just drove off.. we probly could have taken him tho now that i think about it

I ordered them when I ordered the Max and it was installed and painted when I picked it up. I believe they were $60-$70 + tax.

hahaha you know what now that i think about it, last summer when i had a taurus, some guy in a 4th gen white maxima cut me off in traffic! so i did it back to him. he cuts me off again and makes a jesture with his hand saying bring it, then he rasise's a crowbar. i had a box cutter and baseball bat in my trunk. i chased him for a bit, but he got away, the taurus has really bad handling in tight corners i dont carry anything in my new max though. should i? hehe

Road Rage Story

I have a short story. Not sure if this was road rage, or just a case of some guy being a complete a$$hole.

Last Saturday night I was tooling around in my Maxima, when I spotted a bright yellow Diablo, I worked my way up to the rear of his car. I just wanted to get a good look at the thing, it's not often you see Lamborgini's a lot where I live. I guess I was tailgating him, at most it was very brief, and I was certainly in no danger of hitting him. He got very irate when I pulled up next to him. I was about to compliment him on the car, before I could say anything he cussed me out for tailing him and then made fun of my car. I tried to put myself in his position, but I still couldn't justify his actions, granted he was driving a $250,000 car.

a$$hole, and he was wearing yellow Oakley's to match his yellow car, how cute.

Is it **** to wash the Max twice? First we do a preliminary wash, using two of those hand-sponge-mop thingys, one for up top, one for down below. Then the second wash is a final detail wash, with a third spongy for a deep clean. And what about steam cleaning the engine whenever you have a few minutes and you're at the shop (Just lucky I have one.) And is steam cleaning the floor mats to really get them clean ****?
