Heh, did GXE 5th gen's come with leather as an option or something?

That sure looks like a GXE to me, look at the tailights + rims, but GXE with leather?
Was this installed aftermarket perhaps? or did the dealer offer it as an option?

I have a 2k GXE 5spd with leather. I didn't think that it was available with the 5spd from seeing the options on Nissan's website or in the brochure I got from the dealer. The leather interior makes the car seem like it's a higher trim level than GXE. Maybe it was dealer installed. I don't know...I bought my car though my bank and had not seen it until it was delivered to my door.

 

There is one wasy way to tell if the leather is from the factory. If you have the Auto climate control then you have factory leather. These two options ALWAYS come together.

 

and its a base model, no c&c package or meridian. and i dont know about you guys, but that leather looks wierd, it really looks like its aftermarket or something, i think because its not wrinkled. still a nice looking car tho, and the leather does help.

 

My dealer had a few GXE's with leather interior. It's aftermarket, but looked and felt fine. They said that most dealers "upgrade" a handful of GXE's (to offer the customers a leather option as well as advertising their ability to add leather to any car).

As for using the auto climate control as an indicator, that does not work. The convenience package includes auto climate control, but no leather.

C&C doesn't include auto climate control.

 

Must be one of those differences between the Canadian and US version. C&C for Canada includes ACC. But we don't get an aero kit for the AE :-(
