when i am driving around just normally , in my 02 maxima, i get to a red light and when i wanna go after it turns green it has some kinda delay like it is goin 2 shut off on me--it shut off on me a couple times in traffic and i dunno whats going on its an automatic!!----my other problem is when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd it over revs --could this mean my tranny is going?--if u could please answer these 2 questions that would be great--thank u

 

try and clean the throttle body, that might do the trick. unless its something worse than that....

I'm gonna have to go with the throttle body on this too.. thats the hesitation when trying to take off.

 

The stalling/hesitation is more symptomatic of a MAF and I would look there before throttle body cleaning service. As for the transmission over-revving between 2nd and 3rd it's called a shift flare, and it's what mine was doing. They just put my new transmission in on Thursday.

 

where is the maf located?

 

i dunno about a new tranny thought i have 78000 miles hahaha--way over warranty--i guess its time to trade in the maxima -when i get the money
