Need Help on suspension installation Questions HERE

ok i got eibach springs and kyb gr2's i got new bumpstops too but i heard i need to cut the top off hte bumpstop ? why would i need to cut the top of the bumpstop ? and if i DO have to cut it how much do i cut ?? please need help car going under constrution by tommorw

There are a couple recent threads talkin about this... snoop around a little and you'll probably find em.... I'd get ya the link, you could just as easily find it yourself.... hope everything works out...

i looked around and cant find anything i remember reading about it , but jsut cant find it .

Irish, wasn't there a poll that had people indicate where they cut their bump stops and what springs/struts they had? I thought I remembered seeing something like that with a picture attached to the thread indicating 3 "levels" of cuts or something..... maybe I was just hallucinating....

Since you're in fairfax, maybe if you wanna stop by sometime this weekend I can show you...I have a set of bumpstops around here someplace that I picked up at a junkyard.....

and yes,, I cut 1 "ring" off both front and rear bumpstops when installing my Maxspeeds.

Thanks for the offer Irish, although actually, finding the thread was more for Qmax03's benefit....

I do have some Progress springs that are waiting to go in and I probably will end up cutting 1 ring off the stock bumpstops... Fashizl will be helping me with em sometime in the next 2-3 weeks, so I think I'm good for now... but I'll def be buggin ya if I need more help. Thanks.
