I have this code that many of you guys have now. Why does this code come on with bolt on modifications(cat back exhuats/intake/headers/y-pipe)?
Are these modifications causing a higher charge throughout the piping? Is there anything that can reduce the charge? Just like you guys with this error, my car drives fine,performs fine but this code has my scratching my head.....

Theres got to be something out there that can fix this and i am not talking about a new 02. I read before on here that some guys went back to stock and the SES light went off by its own, which tells me that its not the 02 sensor. A bad 02 sensor would continually kick off the SES light wether stock or not.

This may be a dumb question , but has anybod tried grounding there exhaust, if it can be even done?

which o2 are you receiving this code from? the only part of the exhaust that is or should be ground is the cat.

 

Rear bank one, so that would be the o2 off the rear manifold , next to the fire wall.

 

what is the code kenneth? po138, po139?
