HLSD...hold out or buy without?

Considering the purchase of a 2k2 or 2k3 6-speed. Should I hold out for a HLSD-equipped model? I want to hear input from someone who has driven both hard and can tell me the difference in feel/grip. Also, how expensive is it to retrofit this to a non-equipped car? Thanks!!

get the HLSD car...the non ones suck. BUT, you can buy the HLSD from the dealer and drop it into your tranny thats non HLSD...

My 2K2 was equipped with HLSD as an option. The window sticker said $399. I don't know what the dealer would charge for a retrofit, though.

a non HLSD 6 speed does not suck.

You can buy one from dave b, i just purchased one my self... it's going in some time soon. I wouldn't let the HLSD be the determining factor in your car purchase, it's minimal compare to the over all rarity of a 6 speed 5.5 gen.
