03 Max SE Rotors ?

Are the stock rotors pop off or do you have to mess with the bearing? I am trying to get the rotors off to get them turned, but they are frozen on rock hard.

And yes I got the caliper completely off, I have done brakes before.

yeah if u live in an area with a lotta rain/snow salt etc... ur rotors will be stuck. Try getting a rubber mallet and whacking the cicumference the rotor pretty hard and it should come unstuck.

theres two extra holes by the bolt pattern, with the right bolts all you have to do is drive the bolts one after another between the two and it pops off.

or, a good kick

or the rubber mallet

I banged the **** outta it for about 15 minutes and said F it. Took it to a local place and they removed & machined them for $40. I've never had some much trouble getting rotors off, and I've done them on cars with twice the mileage of the Max.

Gonna look into some better rotors for the future cuz I'm sure they're just gonna warp again. Whats the best affordable upgrade you guys do for the 5.5 Gens concerning the rotor warpage problem?

irotors off ebay for cheap. And a big tip, get some antiseize in a tube,a and apply it to the part that contacts the rotor and axle, and u should have a less trouble next time getting your rotors off.

on the iRotors. I purchased them as well and have been quite pleased with their performance (2k miles now).
