Check out my Ride!

After so many years, I finally started posting pics of my Ride. Thanks for all your help on this forum.

JIC setup over the weekend. This was tuffest install I've ever done on a car. The adjustments and getting use to the ride was difficult and frustrating. But looks nice after all of it was done.

Are you going to install the Stillen rear or side skirts?

Looks very clean. Love the lip, but paint match is a bit off. Otherwise excellent work.

Thanks for the comments.

I set the JIC's to the softest setting and have tried to make the height both the same on the front and rear. The ride is much different than stock and I can tell you that the handling at high speeds around turns has improved so much. But I am still trying to get use too the low setting and avoid road imperfections.

I am hearing some swosh noise from the front shocks when I hit some bumps and trying to figure out why that is happening. I think it may be because I set the dampening to the softest level.

I don't think I will be adding the stillen sides or sarona sides and rear due to the scraping issue I am afraid of. I already scraped the front lip a few times even trying to drive side ways up driveways and stuff. I know I have to get some paint touchups later on again from my buddy when it comes time again. Thank goodness I have someone that will do it for me for only the cost of tha paint.

Looks really hot, I love that color. Good luck not scraping the front lip, that's pretty low. I hope I have a little more clearance once mine goes on! Just need to get some 19" chrome rims now!

I've been racing around driving at highway speeds and have had good success with hitting bumps and such. The ride is still comfortable with the soft settings I set on the dampening. The only weird thing is that you hear the swoosh noise in the front when you drive slow and hit bumps in the road.

The handling on fast turns is incredible from stock. I have made safe 40-50mph turns on narrow roads and has stuck really well with stock wheels.

I'd like to purchase Axis Milano's in the future when I can afford them. I think the combination would look hot.

Oh yes, I have scraped the plastic piece underneith the car near the oil pan a few times. I hit the lip in the front once but didn't damage it because the material is urethane and it just flexed in and out. Very nice material. I wish the bumpers were made from this.

I wonder what the "swoosh" sound is... Could it be the oil in the shocks?

The sound is funny if you heard it. It's like the car is farting

I think the air is coming out the valve on the top. Thats my impression. I hope someone on this forum could tell me who is familiar with this.

I bought the JIC's from some race shop. I don't remember the name off hand but they are reputable and got them for me at a deep discount from the makers of the JIC products in California.

If your really serious about buying them, PM me and I'll look for the dealer receipt and give you the contact.

Just FYI, my opinion is that you don't need to buy the ALT-2's if you want coilovers. The A2's do have more adjustability but I don't think you need it for the street. Adjusting the A-1's was frustrating until I gave up and had my friend borrow his lift and adjusted the coils there until everything was just right for me. The install took 1 day since it was my first install of this type. Adjusting took another day to make things almost perfect. You should have seen me measuring with a tape measure so many times because I wanted it to come out perfect.
