Has anyone had trouble with your wipers leaving a smie-permanent streak across you windshield?? Everytime I use the wipers I get this streak where the bottom of the left wiper has moved across the windshield. I can clean it off when I go to the carwash but it re-appears everytime the window gets any dew on it (even if I haven't used the wipers). My Max is a year old and I still have the stock wipers. Is this just happenening to me or do I need to change my wipers??

Did you check to see if there's any sap or sticky stuff stuck on your wipers? That usually leaves streaks for me and it's a pain to get it off. Good luck.

I apply RainX to my windshield every time I wash my car. Its money, no streaks, and if you go fast enough, the wind pushes the rain off the glass...

Use towel paper and clean your wipers everytime you wash your car. Crap sinks down and sits on the wipers, so this is what I do when I wash the car. When you do this, look at how black the paper gets.

How about that streak that appears when the morning dew comes? Can I wax that out?? because regular soap ad water doesn't seen to help.

It'll streak (at least mine does), but when you start driving, it goes away (at least mine does). Also, you can use your washer fluid (seems to make the streak disappear faster).

i think streak are caused by dirt that is in the rain and dew and after the water is evaporated (or wiped away) the dirt is left. RainX makes the dirt sit on top of the rainx, so when you wipe it away, no residual dirt or water is left. The rainx gets into the microscopic holes in the glass and seals it off. I'm not a RainX salesman, I just think it works really well.

Don't mean to harp on the rainx too much, but if you wax your car and apply rainx, the water will bead up all over your car, so it looks pretty cool. You don't have to apply rainx to your side or rear windows as often as the windshield since they don't get as much friction.

Is it just me or the person you designed the rear window didn't do any testing in the rain? My whole window will be wet from rain. when I start driving, the rain comes off the sides of the rear window but not the middle where you want the water gone. I gotta go over 65 with rain-x to get the water off from the middle.

Wiper blade refills

I would just change the wiper refills. They don't cost that much and you'll probably get rid of your streaky problem. New blades every 6 months is what's recommended I believe.

Coke

I know this is going to sound crazy but if you get a fresh can of Coca-Cola open it and poor it on the windshield and wipe it with a towel or paper towel and it will take care of any streak on your window, I know I have done it.

Coke contains a lot of acid.

Re: Coke

Ya... just wipe it (the coke) before it gets to the windshield wiper, or you're gonna end up back at step 1 :-)
