I think the real important point is that you should know your car's limits and drive within those limits on public roads.....as tires wear, you obviously will lose grip, so you need to drive accordingly...

Yes, important point too. A split second is all it takes for disaster to strike on the roads.

so what was that about "judgement without even knowing the facts"?

we dont know how you drive...all we have to go on in what you posted.

bottom line - you were driving to fast for the curve..no "ifs", "ands", or "buts"
just accept that and move on. we have all made mistakes.
Last post because this is getting old.

First, I admitted I drove fast for the turn. Good job pointing that out, man. I HAVE accepted that. Way to beat that dead horse. My point about judgment call is the assumption "some" people make that I must drive like those idiots on cell phones 24/7.

Second, seriously, learn how to use "too" instead of "to". ahhhh Sooners...that explains it. Nevermind.

I guess this was an oversteer and I was beginning to lose control. I had to quickly readjust to gain control. Everything was ok but I was a bit concerned. The road was dry.

I have a Progress RSB, H&R springs, stock struts, and a front tower strut bar. What caused the oversteer?
You just answered your own question sire...

Everybody grow up! What he did was stupid Ryan but don't take your stress out on him. You and sooner started a confrontation and he merely responded. What did you expect? I also have a neice and 2 nephews and I would freak if somebody was driving too fast on an on ramp. Hopefully he would NEVER drive like that with somebody else in the car. You are right Ryan but try to do it in a more tactful way (The path of least resistance) without starting a huge confrontation and RUINING THE THREAD.

Everybody take a deep breath...

I yield the floor, and the remainder of my time, to Senator Ryan

Maxima will NOT oversteer if you have the right combination of springs and shocks, since you said you have a 2000 Maxima that is lowered on stock struts still, I belive you don't have compression and rebound controll over the springs you are runing (H&Rs) and when you hit the corner to fast spring was still oscilating (bouncing) which caused you to spin out. I need to put up a video of my Maxima at a autocross event from last weekend, it will show ya what a neutrally balanced Maxima will do, it should understeer under power and turning, it shouldn't push or slide while just cornering under no power-rolln through as I call it, and it should slide the azz end out under abrupt throttle closing entering a corner. My car used to be tail happy till I messed around with suspension height, damper settings and different tires. I have 255-40-17 Dunlop SP9000s, Maxima is a very long car if you do end up in a situation where the tail end steps out on ya.... just nail the gas pedal and it will straighten out. Do NOT let off the gas pedal or it WILL get even worse. Who wants to host my video ? 17MB of some autoX fun, demonstrating Maximas ability to outcorner EVOs and WRXs.
i want to see the video!

how did i start a confrontation? i simply told him that he needs to know his cars limits and that he was driving to fast. then he got defensive

there we go with the attacks. if you are looking bad in an argument resort to attacks. and all you got it that i used "too" instead of "to"
i never ASSUMED that you drive bad all the time. i was simply replying to your post and said that in this instance you need to know your cars limits and that you were driving to fast.
you never admitted anything. you have been defensive from the beggining because 99% of the people on here are in agreement with what im saying. i tried to be cool in that last post. but obviously you are still upset. so im sorry that i hurt your feelings. now that i know you are sensitive ill be more careful.

did i spell everything right this time?
