Black95c - Step inside..dome light question

I'm doing a 13 LED setup, I wired up everything, everything turns on when I run it to a 9 volt but when I wired it into the dome light only one LED lights up...very weird...where did you get your power from( maybe..where you put the bulb in, because that does the same thing )
I appreciate the help in advance

PLease provide a pic so i can better understand how you hooked everything up.

but in the mean time, make sure you didn't reverse the power to the main connections, and also make sure the connections are tight. mine were having a hard time sticking for some reason, i had to sand them down and then solder before they stuck... and it still gives me a problem. but it is all set now, but non the less, don't forget the small things, such as, make sure the dome switch is on, and not turned to the off position.

let me know how you make out, and please provide a pic so i can see how you wired it up.

Ok just got hold of a friend's camera here's the set up

I had it all together yesterday but it didn't work(only one light came one) so I disassembled it.

here's the center 9 bulbs, the back, I've got four wires for pos, and two or neg...each positive on the leds has it's own resistor. The next picture is it lit up with a 9 volt.

Here's how I can it wired to the dome...again only one bulb came on

Notice I drilled four additional hole(one whole went through some metal but when I plug the stock dome bulb it still works so I'm guessing that didn't do anything). I will be putting blue leds in these holes all wired to the same spot I mentioned above. any advice?

your idea will not work anyway. sorry to say that, but i did the same thing you did, and i had to redo everything. they way you did it, it just won't fit when you go to mount it up again. you can try to mount it if you do not belive me, but there is not way you can mount it. but you do have two options.

1.) start over from scratch
2.) try to re-work the board so that the boad fits INSIDE the hole, and not mounting from the back of it. i am not sure if you understand that or not.

and when you building your next one, don't build it like the way you did with six wires. all you need are two main wires going into all the leds. i made a diagram in paint to show you how i did mine, sorry if it looks sloppy, but paint isn't really the most persice program out there for drawing. hope it helps. also, the file is 1/2 a meg, so it may take a sec to load.

also, those two connections are correct to use.

My car almost fully converted to blue on the inside but this domelight is a bithc

I've started to rewire according to what you told me...

Take a look at this pic, did you branch out to 9 wires after the resistors or come back to one wire...does it make a diff....let me know that man...I appreciate all the help

it doesn't matter really, technicly standing, it should... but i twisted all my resistors together in one big resistor, and it worked... i can't explain why, but i don't ask questions. lol. but you can do it either way.
