2000 SE Power Driver's Seat

My driver side seat wont let me raise or lower the rear section of the actual seat (where your butt rests); it will only let me move the whole seat either back or forward, raise and lower the back portion and raise and lower the front portion of the actual seat. Anyone else have this problem; any suggestions on what to do?

Make sure the connection isn't loose under the seat. The only other thing I can think of is the motor is shot.

Anyone else?

Ive had my power seat on my 2000 se repaired twice.. once I paid something like 600 bucks for a new motor (movement front and reverse), and once like 200 for the switch. Now a few years later.. another motor is shot.. same as yours.. up and down in the back.. Im just going to leave it.. all I need is recline and forward and reverse.. especially if its gonna cost 600 bucks.

stop having s e x in the car and you won't have to keep moving the seat, wearing out the motor...

HAHA, my seat gets moved alot exactly for what he^wrote^above! Thank god though i havnt worn out the motor the seat. My seat does squeek alot though when i sit in it, even if i am ajusting myself or moving my legs even, dont know why or what i can do to fix - improve it.

my seat does not go back and forth in my GLE, its deffinitely the motor in mine so im guessing its basically the same thing in yours. if you can reach it, then see if it gets hot, mine did, but then again mine was the forward backward motor.
luckily im getting mine fixed for free from the guy that i bought the car from.

how can the motor be shot if the other functions of the seat work perfectly fine? Is there a fuse for the seat?
