iPod direct connection

Has anyone successfully hooked up an iPod to your Maxima? I have a 2001 SE with a stock system (not Bose). I'm interested in seeing if there is a way i can just do a direct line in connection, rather than using an FM modulator or a cassette adapter.

let me know, thanks!!!

it still uses a direct-wire modulator into the radio antenna, using an Alpine XM/Cd changer controller - but the sound is far better than open-air FM modulators and almost as good as it would sound if we had RCA cable inputs on the bose
