Rough Shift- A/T
Rough Shift- A/T
Hi all!
I have a 2K1 GLE, no mods, 76k mi. I bought it w/ 10k mi and I have always noticed:
When driving in traffic, accellerating from a stop and then getting off the gas before the shift to 2nd, causes a really rough shift. It is apparent when you let mostly off the gas, but worse when all the way off the gas.
I did a tranny flush @ 60k, there was no change in the above described.
I went w/ my little bro the other week to test drive one for him (also 2k1, 30k mi). I dried to replicate the shift in the test, but was unable.
Any idea why my tranny does this? should I ditch the MAX fast? I really want that new v-10 M5...

most likely your tranny slipping.. and possbily your tranny will go out in the future.
but if you're under warranty you can get that replaced for free
take it to dealer and tell them tranny is slipping
they should fix the problem under warranty

if im driving in those conditions and i know im not going to be going over 50 then i drive in 2nd. if not it will go back and forth between 2nd and 3rd.
and i do know the diffirence between this and the TSB issue. i bought a new TCM a few weeks ago to fix that.
