Did the SE's/SE's 20th AV ever come in Auto.? To my understanding, the GLE's were auto, aand the SE's were Stick. Only option

 

Yes, I have a 20th AE and it is an automatic.

yup, auto AE here too

 

and remember, all ae's have limited slip whether auto or manual. its viscous but it definetely helps.

 

I must have had it backwards. The GLE's only came in auto. I thought that since the GLE's only came in auto, that the SE's would have only come in stick. Well I lost a bet. Damnit lol. Thx for the help guys

only about 3% of the maximas came in stick that year. I know some were GXEs some were SEs, some were AEs. I think even a few GLEs as well.

 

ive never heard of a GLE in stick in any model nissan.

Owning the most rare Maxima ever is nice, also the lightest 5th gen 5spd GXE. You could get a GLE 5spd Sentra in 95-98, I know cause we had a 95 GLE Sentra till my mom totalled. GLE Maximas and Altimas always came in Automatic only, SEs came in 5spd and auto was an option. 01 Maxima 5spd GXE was only avalible in white or black, and you could only have mudflaps, floor mats, incabin filter as options from the factory. It came with 205-65-15 Potenza RE92s on 15" steel wheels. When moving up to a auto GXE you could get all the other colors, and CD player vs just tape player with 4 speakers. I was going to get a 5spd AE, but payn 6K extra over my GXE was just plain stooopid.

 

Even though I love my AE if I knewI was going to mod this car before I bought it I may have selected a black GXE and bought a SC.
