NGK Sources.

Ok so where can I find a list of current good places to buy NGK Iridiuum plugs for my car? I put some Bosch +2's in but they SUCKED and caused a bad oxy sensor.

Also what specific part number am I looking for an '00 Maxima GXE?

Thanks guys!

Just go to nearest dealer and ask for the plugs specific for your car. Nissan uses NGK. I think they are $7 each.

I thought they only sold the cheap version at the dealers (non iridium)?

Also, what is the best O2 sensor to buy? Is the Bosch the way to go or the OEM?

Any autoparts store should have the NGK's. The OEM O2 sensors are Bosch so I would just get them at the autoparts stroe too.

I don't know about iridiums, but you can always go to eBay. I did for NGK PFR5G-11 (for '00 and '01 Maximas) platinum plugs and got a great deal. There's a few sets on auction right now:

NAPA. Pep Boys.

$7 each seems cheap for a Pt plug.
Ir is more expensive.

I use copper. ($1.59/plug @ NAPA)

I ended up getting a set or Iridiums for $7 a piece shipped.

They may run cold, but anything is better than these Bosch....soon as I put them in it just felt like my performance went to hell, especially the low end.

I dont think my O2 sensor is actually bad yet, I think the crap plugs not completely igniting was cuasing it to run rich which the ECU blamed on the O2 sensor...heres hoping anyway.
