10kK or 8kK HID conversion kit?

Alright, so I've finally stashed enough cash away to get my HID conversion kits. What temp do you guys think I should run at? I am looking at either an 8300k or 10000k kit...12000 looked a pit too purple for my tastes. I will be doing both the fogs and headlights.

What do you guys think?

Depends on what color you want. White = ~4k, Blue 6k, and the higher just turns more blue/purple.
4k's give the highest light output.

No it isn't, a friend of mine has a 2k acura TL, with the factory HID( which is 4300k). And my HID's are twice as bright as his.

8000K and 10000K? Why don't you guys just duct tape blacklights to your bumper.

If you want descent color while also getting still descent output then 6000k should be your best bet.
If your just going for looks and not output then go with 8000k.

I would stay away from anything that is advertised as above 6000k, above that you start losing light output and are purely going for looks.

FOR REAL! the 6000k range is the best coloring and output.....once you start hitting freakin 10000k it gets to be like a rice, with those PIAA SPARK BLUES!!! ahahah also if your getting fogs too!!! 6000Kish for both would be perfect.

Willing to spend few hundred just for pretty color? Here's an idea. Save yourself some money and buy regular bulbs. Will definitely loose light output w/ K raiting that high.
