What are the differences? Is there any hp differences? Sounds? Difficulty on install? Is it a recognizable gain in hp?

Jeez, Circo. You've been around here long enough to know how to use the search function. There's more than enough material in previous threads to give you the answers your looking for.

If those of us who have been around for awhile are unwilling to use the search function, how can we ever expect the newbies and lurkers to use it?

You're not the first to make that mistake, Circo. But I'd still recommend you use the search function. There are a lot of opinions on the value of the Y-pipe and you won't get them all repeated here.
