D2 Coilover Question

I am looking at different suspension options for my '02, and I'm definately interested in the D2 coilovers. I like the adjustability, but how do they ride compared to H&R's or Eibachs or similar springs. I take my car on road trips a lot and I don't want to have to visit the chiropractor after a day of riding in the car. Also I have read about people having problems with them. And why are they a grand cheaper than JIC's? Any input will help.

The D2s are new. So the distributors are trying to break them into the market at a good price, then they will go up. The only problem that anyone has had was one or two guys had a bad strut that was swapped out quickly without issue from what we were told.

As for ride... well. I think any coilover is going to have a bit of a stiffer ride over a standard spring/strut setup. I can't speak to that because I did not put lowering springs on my max first. Went right to D2s. After the install, I drove back home from Atl. 750 miles. I will admit that the trip sucked, but I had not dialed in the suspension at all.... Now it is a bit better, but def, not stock.
