I was going to search on this but the search feature doesn't work for me. Is it possible to install the digital climate control system on a 02 SE? I don't understand why Nissan put that cheap sliding temp control on the SE. I guess to keep the cost down. I'm buying an 02 SE this week and would love to put that digital control unit in it.

My Maxima Se '00 came with the digital climate control. It was an option that you could get on your car. If you look, I bet you could find a 02 Se with climate control. As far as installing such a unit, I am not experianced in that field. (But I know people have been upgrading their cars with maxima nav, so it probably is possible.

People have looked into changing from manual to auto climate control and I think many have concluded that it's way too much of a hassle, due to additional sensors and such with the auto system.

Now that I think of it I remember seeing something about this on Altimas.net awhile ago and it was pretty complicated and expensive to do it.
