You can't find it because an '03 isn't even close to end-of-life. There are plenty of late 90s Maximas that are well past 100,000 miles (x 1.6 = 160,000km I believe).

An '03 max, at ~12k miles (~19k km) is going to last over 12 years.

my 92 240 has over 190k on the odometer, and still running strong. All nissan engines are reliable in my experiences, my 98 pathfinder now has 90k and still running fine. i just love nissans my next car after i pay my maxima off is gonna be a 350z trying to keep it in the nissan family.

I agree with 2k2wannabe.....way to early to get an "average". All you can do is speculate at this stage. I do agree with some of the posts though. Nissan engines, seem to run forever if maintained properly. Several years ago, I bought a 72 240z from the 2nd owner, and it had 200,000 miles on it. The guys "claimed" it was still on the original clutch (not sure I believed it), but it ran fine (and the body and interior was in really good shape). So yeah....Nissan motors should last for quite some time!

expectation right now can only be determined by a few things right now...
Mostly how long it takes for an owner to destroy one.

You could actually determine that if you had the amount of 5th gens that were made, the amount that exist... The amount that were broken or destroyed for an arbirtrary reason, or a more specifec one?

Life seems to be loosely defined, what is it exactly you want to know?

Just take care of it and it will last forever...

Small things do tend to go on the car. My camshaft sensor decided to crap out on me when I first got my car, but asides from that it's been smooth sailing from there.

about 10-30 years. it all depends on how you treat the car and how much you drive

Nissan engines are bullet prrof...it's the other things you should be worried about ( i.e Tranny, paint, etc)
