Illumina or Koni ?

What do you think about Koni adjustable struts ?

KOni makes great struts, but they are cartridges and are a POS to install in the maxima - you have to basically insert them into your OEM housings. Illuminas are outstanding, and I've been very happy with mine.

Illuminas, nothing but positive reviews about them, and they seem to be the best strut to pair with any springs..a little more expensive than Koni but you get what you pay for

call Steve at southwestautoworks and tell him you're from the org...he'll hook you with a discount. I got the illuminas for $400 shipped as i recall (or was it 450?)...sorry don't have the # though...look it up at southwestautoworks.com

I need 2 fronts, and I won't purchase another Koni product ever. I'm on my 4th cartrige set in the front in the last 90K miles.

Check the group deals section. They're going for $408 shipped. Awesome price! I can't vouch for them personally, but from input from some of my friends, as well as people here on the org, Illuminas are the way to go. I had Koni adjustables in my '97 Accord and they were not bad. Kinda expensive though.

I've installed both. Go illuminas. Koni's arfe great shocks, but they are a PITA to install on a 5th gen.
