Quick ? about stock floormats

I just bought my 02 GLE from a Nissan dealer and did not realize that I did not get the Factory floormats (that hook in) with the car. You may be thinking I'm whacked but I feel I deserve them for the keesh I shelled out. What do you think? I'm sending my wife in with it on Monday for a sticker, I may have her fight for them for me (she's alot better than I am at that stuff)
by the way the car is a certified Nissan with only 18K miles(does that matter)?

well since you have to pay extra for them on a new car ( ) maybe the prior owner didnt have them. since they are an "option" that isnt listed on the sticker they dont have to provide them. i know it sucks from a consumer stand point but from the dealership stand point they wont give them to you if they dont want to.

you are sending your wife in to fight for you??

You would have more leaverage if you would have negotiated the floor mats in the deal, but who knows, maybe they'll hook you up. Just have your wife wear a low-cut shirt

They just might do it if they want you to return for service. If they don't you can buy them here http://www.courtesyparts.com/index.html not too expensive.

Been there, done that....

I purchased my '03 SE with a little over 30k miles from a local dealership, also. It didnt have floormats, so while negotiating I made sure to tell the salesman that I wanted to have a set in them....new. He said that when they take trades in, they junk the floormats if they look remotely worn in. I thought it was stupid, but anyhow, he said that he would try and snag a used pair when he got some in. Well, being a nice guy, I first opted to agree. After waiting for a few days, I told the sales man that I can't wait til another set comes in. It had been raining for days on end, and the dealership paper mats just werent cutting it. I told him that he needed to order me a new set, $60, and call it a day if they wanted my business again. They were on back order for a few weeks but I got them,....brand new, in the box. I dont feel the least bit guilty. However, while they were on back order, I ordered a set of OEM rubber mats off of ebay for $45+15 for shipping that fit EXACTLY!!...Im talking about equipped with the holes that hold them in place. They are awsome. Just my 2 cents. Hope things work out for ya.

Rubber Mats Rule!

I ditched my OEM Carpet mats after the first 6 months, and bought the OEM Rubber mats for $50 from the local Nissan dealer (hook-in, AND have Maxima logo).

They smell a bit "rubbery" for a few weeks, but dang - you just can't beat the remove, rinse, dry, replace regimen of these things.

Personally - I don't know why ALL cars don't come with these mats stock, they just make sense.

I HIGHLY recommend.

Try to get them if you still can, if not you can still buy OE floormats from DaveB for a good price otherwise there are many other aftermarket cheaper alternatives. Whatever you do just don't buy the Diamondplate metal floormats, those are hideous and belong in a Freightliner.
