PICS!!! Of JIC drop and AE headlights installed!!!
Like title says, pics of my new drop on JIC's and AE headlights. I know I need to go lower, just running a bigger tire than I should be right now and have to wait till I get some new ones. I have 245/45/18 and need a 235/40/18. So when I go lower I rub. It sucks. THE PICS ARE ON PAGE 9. Tell me what you all think! Pages 1-8 are before the drop and page 9 is of the drop.

I'll hold comments until ya get them tires then... I'm not feeling the rims, but that's just me, although one other suggestion I can offer is to get rid of those tails for some chrome 02-03 tails... it'll match the overall scheme of your car better...

They look good, I like the exhaust tips. Your headlight doesn't look like AE since it was hard to see that black out smoke around the light basket when you took one in front of the hood but on the side view i can see it. Were they direct from Nissan? Cuz i've seen one on several website that are replacement but when I emailed them they told me it's "oem-style", not direct Nissan.

I am eventually getting new rims. Just got to find someone to buy mine first. I regret that I ever bought them, at the time I liked them but now chrome is too hard to take care of and not the look I am going for. But money is a factor for me here, and taking it one step at a time. I would eventually like to get some 18 or 19 inch evo 5's or Alessio F1's. But it will take some time. My rims are for sale if anyone is interested or knows anyone interested. Also as far as the 02-03 tails, I like them but cant stand anything orange on my car. I thought about buying them and doing an all clear and red by painting the orange, and then match up front with the 02-003 cleared HIDs. But I chose to go with the AE look of the headlights and keep the tails to match. I think I actually like it better this way. All other opinions or suggestions are appreciated. But please, I know I need to go lower and I know I need different rims.

Hey, you need to go lower! Just Kidding. How much slower does the 245/45/188's make your car. I am guessing that due to the total increase in outside diameter, it must feel like a slug. I'll bet the ride quality is pretty nice though.

I currently have 245/40/18's on some BBS 18x8.5 wheels and would like to get a bit more sidewall to increase the ride quality. I was thinking of going to a 225/45/18 as I can pick up about .26 of an inch more diameter than what I currently have. It should also help out with the automatic and shifting.
225/50/17 = 25.8582, this is the stock diameter.
225/45/18 = 25.9724, a .11 inch increase over stock
235/40/18 = 25.4015, a .46 decrease over stock
235/45/18 = 26.3267, a .47 increase over stock
245/40/18 = 25.7165 inches, a .14 inch increase over stock
The best tire size is one that does not change the total tire diameter. This being the case, the 225/45/18 would be my best choice when going to an 18" wheel. I don't understand why we go to the 235 when jumping to an 18" wheel. We should be using a 225/45 or a 245/40, especially us automatic owners.

That's good to know. I have the S-03's on right now in 245/40/18 and I like them. I wanted the Pilots but didn't want to drop the cash on them. I think that when I go to get new tires I will try the Pilots.
As far as the 245/40/18's. They are the second best plus sized tire in relation to tire diameter being only .14 of an inch off the stock 17 inch tire diameter. It's very close to stock and only the 225/45/18 beats it with a .11 of an inch off stock the diameter.
The 225, however is an increase while the 245 is a decrease in the diameter. Do you think that the 1/4 inch difference will help out with the ride quality?

Edward Lee, 1/4 inch really won't effect ride quality. Those SO'3 have a very stiff sidewall. I could run 20lbs of air in them and they didn't even look flat. You can't take 2 tires the same size and they'll ride different due to the sidewall construction.

I am running a 245/45/18 tire right now. And in the rear I rub (I believe it is the piece of metal that holds the rear bumper on the car hitting the tire) when going over bumps. I thought if I went with a skinnier tire then I would avoid hitting that and be able to tuck the rear wheels a little. But if it rides that much nicer than I will go with a 245/40/18 thanks all for your help. Skalberti, do you know what I am talking about with the rear rubbing?
