Salvage Titles

Wanted to know what people thought of salvage titles for sale, specifically Maxima salvages. They are obviously priced way below blue book.

Any experiences, opinions or thoughts?

Most my cars were reconstructed and I had no problem selling them, but then I fixed them and they were done right.

"I won't risk my life to ride on a car with salvage title"

There are salvage title cars that were either theft of flood recovery.

Don't buy a salvage Maxima. Especially if it got into a front-end accident. You will end up paying about the same as u get it in a dealer-ship. There's also alot of hidden problems. Also don't buy a Maxima from ppl age from 16-35 and from 50-90. These ppl will beat tha crap out of their cars or they can't drive for ****.

Dont buy a salvage if you cant get it checked out by a mechanic or if you dont plan to keep it for life and struggle with all problems it might bring up. Also dont base you buying a maxima on age thats just dumb because you should base it on the condition of the vechile and it was taken care of through schedueled maintenaince. My .02

I agree with him^^^ about the window of 15 years. Yea some poeple will beat on their cars and some won't. it doesnt really matter how young or old they are. My dad who is 70 years old, drives his car harder/faster than i do, i am nuts sometimes so imagine how he is!!!!

Also don't buy any car from NYC. Most likely u will end up w/ a car that has messed up shocks, struts, springs, scratched up front and rear bumper, bunch of stickers u can't take off on the front windshield, a carpet that can never be cleaned and a bunch of other problems. I've known that from experience. A car from NYC is a messed up car no matter how much u take care of it.

You go from saying one stupid thing to another. Take it anyway you want but your statements are retarted. "Sitkcers u can't take off on the front windshield" i dont know which neighborhoods in NYC you go to and granted our roads arent the best to say that you shouldnt buy a car from NYC is stupid. I hope no ones listens to your dumb statements because they are untrue. And for everyone else dont buy a car from Louisvuitton500 because he likes to drive without tires he thinks he could get better traction with just rims.

the younger of the group usually take better care of their cars though. maximas are great cars that hold up really well. a salvage title is not ussually a good thing but there are a few good ones out there.

I use to live in Flushing Queens. A rack of my friends lives in Brooklyn. I problaby know more about Brookyln than u do. I owned 5 cars in my whole life, 3 of them is from NY. I can't keep any of them for more than 6 month cause they are crap. And yes my car does feel like I am driving w/o tires when I am in NYC. I also like to race in NYC streets with all those pot-holes and all them ppl and traffic light. And I also know that u've never left NY maybe even Brooklyn.

Young ppl will beat their cars and some might take care of it after they beat it. Maxima is a great car until it hit 100K. I know 3 gen Maxima are the best so far, 4 gens are crap, I just hope my 5.5 gen is better.

Just because your a DumbA$$ and race where there is pot holes doesnt mean other people are as dumb as you are. Most people who are lowered or have big rims are on pothole duty all the time trying to avoid them. I live in Brooklyn for over 14 years jerk off and ive been in every borough of Ny and ive been in every state on the east coast and a lot on the west. Maybe if you take care of your car you wouldnt need to get rid of it every 6 months. Ive owned two maximas and have never had rim, suspension, or shock problems but maybe its because i believe in taking care of a car and not treating it like crap and getting rid of it after six months.

BTW just to see how dumb you are take make a poll and see how many people agree
with your previous statement "Also don't buy a Maxima from ppl age from 16-35 and from 50-90. These ppl will beat tha crap out of their cars or they can't drive for ****."
or any of your retarted statements.

I know in Ca if you buy a car with a salvage title you cant sell it for any more than you paid for it unless you reg the car out of state and hen re reg it basically a pain in the A$$. and not worth it if it is only for a maxima.

If u been everywhere in the east cost, u should know what the hell I am talking about. Tell me if any of the things I said is not true. NYC has f-up roads and f-up roads makes f-up cars. No matter how much u take care a piece of ****, it still gonna be a piece if ****. I can get any piece of **** car over here and it be better than any brand new car that's been out of the lot for 1 month.

Yes nismo3point5. But I think u are in the wrong site. The only part Nismo made for a 3.5 Max is a license plate frame and couple of key chains. I am sure your Max is hooked up with these nice Nismo parts along with christmas lights under your car. Yes, they are the ones that flash along with the music.

Ok, let's stop the fighting. I am going to sleep now. Things I said is really dumb, but true. I love NYC and it's potholes and NJ with it's hookers by the casinos. I love MD with it's....uhhhhh......... I appoligize to u all that I've offended but the things I said are mostly true. I love u all, we are a part of the Nismo Maxima family and we shouldn't go at each other like that. I think we should all get Nismo key chains and GTR emblems for our Max so when we get stuck in potholes, we can help each other out. Aight my Nismo ppl, good night and have a happy Thanksgiving.

yea i hate driving in NY when i go home from college. roads are baddd but ANY place on the east coast that 1. has temps below freezing and 2. has water on the roadways....will have pothole problems. simple fact that water expands when it freezes so when it gets into a crack in the pavement it will create a pothole. the ones here in SC are bad because it seems like the state waits till the road is undriveable and THEN they repair it. this is the single biggest reason i haven't lowered my car. i dont want to destroy it.

That's not true when u have Nismo parts for your Max like 3.5 and Grandma. Their cars fly though the potholes of any State even NYC.

hey guys, not too sure if you have deciphered my name. but i'm not christian and neither is my car.

resurrectedmax is exactly what it states. a resurrected max. i brought a max back from the dead. it was at a junk yard and i noticed that it was hit in the front, however not as far as the engine. so i called my cousin who has a shop and he said that it was do-able. we bought a whole new front clip from this other yard in quebec and pieced it back together nicely. i've had the car since april/june and nothing has gone wrong or is wrong. i think that the max is a really sweet car to drive and it seems to like cruisin' fast on the highways.

initially when the yard transferred ownership the title was salvage. however, once it has been rebuilt and gone through the two stages of safeties, its title is now "rebuilt".

i dont plan on parting with this car for a very long time, if at all.

my .02

i saved an insane amount of money by getting a max this way and when i got the car it had 46000 ish km's on it.

Louisvuitton500 you have to be one of the most ignorant and dumbest people i have come across on the org. Most of the things you said are complete and total BS. As Gsilk stated most areas on the east coast that have freezing temps will have pothole problems. I drive a 5.0gen not a 5.5 and i believe that even driving in NYC my car will outlast your car cosmetically and mechanically, i mean hey all i have to do is keep it in shape for 6months cause thats when you get a new car since you beat your cars so much.

i think salvage cars are good as long as you are sure the damage was fixed the right way. Also they are good for people who do not plan on buying a car and driving it until it dies since the resale value is pretty low. Salvage cars are good for some people and not for others, just depends on who you are.

Wow.. you're kidding right? WTF are you talking about. I bought my car fomr NY and it's in perfect condition. How can you make a generalized statement like that? Also, the window of 15 years is crazy? These are all generalized statements without proof and isn't mostly true. I can't believe i'm reading this ****. Not all people under the age of 35 races on the street and not all drive like a$$holes like you to ruin the car. How the hell can you say anything about nismo3point5? Its just a friggin screen name! Not like he waits till Nismo comes out with performance parts to mod it.

Oh and about the salvage title, don't buy it. Not worth the risk of not knowing whats wrong with it, unless you're a mechanic. Whats the most fear with buying a used car? What's the condition of the car, right? Spend a few extra bucks and buy a different one.

I think a few brain cells must have been lost reading this ****.

For your information, my car is completely stock. I don't race nor treat my car like crap and I'm 26. Imagine that. Nismo is just a screen name dumba$$. Using your logic, they don't make louis vuitton performance parts for maximas only gay handbags and what not. Moron.
