angel eyes

Hey guys,

im a new guy to the org. posting wise, but have read through most of it. have a boring job. not new to forums in general either

anyway, just picked up a 2001 AE a few months ago. black on black leather, 5 speed. love it to death, but obviously upgrading.

so far, clear corners, spoiler light, short throw shifter, stillen intake, otto strut tower brace, system in the works, brembo drilled/slotted rotors with hawk pads..and more to come

do you all think that the Angel eye projectors are worth the money? are they that much brighter? i know they'd look cool.

I heard that the AE lights are a little different than the non-AE ones, anyone interested in buying or trading for something when i do the angel eyes?

looking forward to dealin with you all, ill have pics to my site soon.

-Ando

Welcome to the .Org...

You'll have no problem selling the AE lights... those are in high demand usually...

No comment on the projectors, as I have not heard many good things about em, nor do I have experience with them... but I'm sure others will have some comments....

95% of the org will say they suck, to be blunt....I personally do not like them as well....I bought them when they got on ebay, got the package, and didnt like the whole look and just never installed them....sold them back and got my money back. I tested them, but never on the street. Everyone that has tried them says the light output is crappy and youd be better off getting aftermarket HIDs for about 50-75 bucks more. Not to mention if you get the "rejector deadlights" as most people call them you'll want to get PIAA bulbs or something like that....adding 50 bucks.....which ends up being the same price with less light output and style. ok that's about it.
I say:
1. Dont go with those
other options
2. Get an HID h4 kit and put it in your AE headlights, that WILL be nice
3. Convert to 02 HID lights and put DDEs if you want the eyes.

cant argue w/ HIDs, but I like the way the projectors look on my car after
1) got new bulbs
2) opened them up and put brighter LEDs in the halo's
otherwise the light output from the projectors/halos suck
