transverse link

Hey guys, just read the TSB post and wondered what the transverse link is and where it is located so i can check it out to see if i need one. What are some of the effects of a bad one?

Gotta get the free work done if it needs it!

Thanks!

Well, I made the mistake of taking mine in to get that work done. Nothing but issues with steering after the fact. I wish now I took my chance and never got it fixed. Worste case the link breaks and you have to bring the car to a stop dukes of hazard style.

From what I have been told it would be like a tire blowing out if it did break.

Basically, if you think you should get it done, then do it. Personally, that was the one that I wish I didnt go to Nissan for. I actually ended up going to sears for an alignment after they just couldnt get it right. I took my car back to nissan 3 times to get the stearing right.

Be glad that you did because the alternative could have been disasterous. Imagine it breaking while doing 60/70mph. At least Nissan screwed it up so they'l fix it.

Well don't exactly know what it looks like but the replace it by vin# so there's no way of you looking and determining if yours needs to be replaced. Play it safe , take it in.

All you have to do is call any dealer and give them you VIN, they can tell you over the phone what recalls are still outstanding on your car. Saves you a trip that way if everything is done.
