Clear corner Q's

Couple of questions regarding clear corners (I had them on my 2001, and just got them for my 2k2)

They always used to get condensation in them - will any silicone sealant work to keep it out? I just put it between the lens and the plastic backing, right?

Also, should I take the rubber bits off of the back of my current ones and transfer them to the rear clears, which don't seem to have them?

One more: I want my bulbs to shine through red - but last time they only came through pink. Which looked awful, among other things. Is there any way to make sure they look red? Any bulb suggestions? also, bulbs are 194s, right?

Thanks guys.

I've not had any issues with condensation, so not sure a true "fix" for that. In regards to the bulbs, I've heard that 7 and 9 LED's are good, but they all will look pink-ish no matter what.

Silicone before you install them. Haven't had any problems w/mine after a couple years. As far as bulbs, I stay away from LED b/c they burned out really quickly for some reason. My rears burned out ever 2 months. The front burned out every month. After 6mox. of this, I got fed up. Also, the Red will always look pink except when it's completely dark out.

Right now I'm running chrome ambers in the frotn bumpers and no bulbs in the rear. Still debating what to do in the rear.

10-4. Nothing you can do about the "not so red" Chrome Red bulbs so that's as good as it gets as far as I can see. I'd like them to be darker red but....?

the "red" bulbs you get at Autozone will be pink. don't waste your money. My leds in the back shine red. The whole clear corner isn't lit up but it is more red than pink.
