aniversary edition

hey guys, i posted this in the general forum, but i thought i'd give this one a shot too.

anyone have any idea how many Aniversary edition 5 speeds were made that year? i figured mine is pretty rare seeing that i have only seen 1 or 2 on the road besides mine, just want some numbers to confirm.

tried googling it, maybe call a dealership? who knows if they'll be cool about it.

I believe I read here that there were about 8000 - 10000 AE's made. Of those, the majority were automatics, so my guess is that 5-speed AE's would be relatively rare. BTW when I bought mine (Jan 2001), there were no black 5 speeds available in the region that includes Oregon.

Yeah, I love my AE; they are unique. Black is the only color (lol), although the majestic blue is a close second. The tint I have is Solargard 35% and I don't think that it is metallic, but I could be wrong. I really like it because it is noticeable, but not too dark (and it legal). We have good taste ..

Mines a 5 spd AE. Dark Grey, I think its factory color name is Grey Lustre. Got it at an auction. I was originally looking for a 99 5 spd but this one came along and it was too good to miss. I love the color, and the only thing I like better is black on black, but when theyre so hard to find, especially a 5 spd, you take what you can get. But I am extremely happy with it. Especially since you don't see too many AE's around....especially 5 spds......It definitely stands out.

i love mine. the LSD makes a big difference. when i was looking at a 5th gen i said either way (00-01, or 02-03) im getting the 5.5 headlights, but once i found the AE i cant bring myself to change them. pedals are super sweet too, i just need a 350z dead pedal. i like the silver mist teh best, it compliments the rims nicely. gotta get rid of teh potenzas though.

got the mod bug again, this could be hazardous

I have an AE as well...black-on-black. I went looking for a Max in PA this summer and the dealership only had one used Max...a 5-speed black-on-black AE. My luck sucks, so I am still wondering how I got this baby. I couldn't be happier with her, except for the fact that the pervious owner removed the pedals and put some cheap, uber-ricey carbon fiber pedals from Pep Boys in place
