Your Thoughts on Progress Springs
Try This
Depends what you want to know, but most guys on progress will say that the drop is more even than all but the Tein S techs, which are significantly LOWER.
Progress is generally known for being the MIDDLE of the Road spring for drop and performance.
The ride is NOT as plush as the Maxspeeds, Tein H techs, or H&R's, however it is not as harsh as the Sprints, Teins S Techs, or Eibachs.
If I wanted to get a little more plush ride and a little less agressive handling, i'd choose the H&R's over the progress, but the drop is not as low and less even. It's all a trade-off. Decide what you want, and make your choice.
Make SURE you trim the bumpstops if you install these springs.

I have Progress springs with Tokico HP struts.... like Ghostrider most appropriately said, it depends on your personal preference, no, really, it does, and yes, they are kinda middle of the spectrum, which is exactly why I got em. I love the look of the drop and I think the ride quality is 7.5 on a scale of 10, with 10 being stock comfort. Its not a harsh or jarring ride by any means (to ME, that is), but it does react when ya hit mid to large sized bumps in the road... handling is incredibly better than with the stock suspension too.
Plus if ya have adjustable struts like Tokico Illuminas, KYB-AGXs, or Konis, you can always "improve" your ride quality with the right setting....
One more thing...
Housecor's site is great and everything, I used it too, but if ride quality is a really big deal to ya, then I recommend ya find some local Maximas and go for a ride with their respective set ups to see what ya like best.... in my book, that's the best way to tell...

Puppetmaster makes some good points. There are many threads talking about which springs are the softest (usually the least amount of drop), and which are the harshest (usually the lowest drop). Only you can decide what your goal is in changing your springs: Ultimate drop and performance (with all the ensuing harshness), or at the opposite spectrum, slight drop (1.4" and less) and more comfortable ride.
One More
i agree with everything Puppetmaster said.
one thing: not sure how many miles he has on his car, but i too did not trim my bumpstops at first.
After 10k miles, the car settled, the struts got a little more "seasoned" and the bottoming started to become more prevalent, to the point that I was convinced I was going to either blow a strut or bend a rim or worse.
Again - the different struts mIGHT be suspect, but trust me on this one: if you go any lower than the Maxspeeds, H&R's, or Tein H Techs -- you GOTTA trim the stops! It WILL come back to haunt you -- believe me, I KNOW.
You have nothing to lose by trimming the stops unless you put your stock suspension back on, and even then you can buy replacements for the OEM boots (which I MAY do one day).

yeah imma do progress springs but stock struts FOR NOW. I have a SE edition 5th gen so i heard the struts are different then gle and gxe. ALso the car has 85k on it and 1 strut is completely brand new and the other 3 are about 3-5 months new. Im contemplating on Gr2's or AGX and if i do go with either i have to paint the strut black and somehow get the spring to be painted black cause my father doesnt know about the drop.

Just saw the resurrection of an old poll by Housecor on trimming the bumpstops... here's the link... http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=291334
