squeky suspension

I'm sure its been asked before but there is no search function so. My rear drivers side suspension is squeking. I have H&R springs on it with the stock struts. could this be a blown strut or what. Thanks

Could be the strut. I would suggest upgrading all around. Best investment I made recently was upgrading to Illumina's.

Sometimes the rubber dust cover tares apart and becomes wrapped around the shock piston up inside the boot. As the shock moves, it hits the tangled up rubber and could cause your squeak. Or you could have a bad shock, see if the oil has started to leak out around the top where the piston enteres the body. Did you reuse the OEM isolator on the last coil of the spring?

ok i crawled under the car and had my friend push down on it causing the squeking. It seemed to be coming from about 6 inches to a foot in front of the strut/spring. And I bought the car wtih the H &R's on there so I dont' know how he installed them

It's most likely what njmaxseltd said. I had that very same problem a while ago.

rear control arms? If it's forward of the actual strut, that's the only thing I can think of....otherwise could be a bad strut, improperly seated springs, or perhaps an improperly seated/missing spring isolator.
