want to put 21's on my car...is it possible?

I have been looking for some Giovanna Dramas for my max...finally found some and I was wondering if its even remotely possible to do without some serious mods..

whats the bolt pattern I need like 5x144.5 and 38mm offset?

i think the ones I found are a 40mm offset what would that do?

thanks

If your going to put 21s on your max, you would need to upgrade your brakes or its going to stop like a train and burn your brakes up a lot faster.

sweet.. that'll look great. make sure you put the gold curb feelers on, and the fur
on the dashboard. maybe you could install a built in cooler for some 40's of colt 45.
when you drive your car, make sure you lean your seat way back and by all means, wear your ballcap sideways.

If you choose to go with the 21's you will definately have to roll your fenders and upgrade your brakes as was said before if you dont mind doing all this work just to get some 21's on your ride then best of luck and post pics.

Stop hating on big rims. Haven't seen anyone try anything bigger than 20's yet, but I'm pretty sure you'll need to do some fender modification to keep them from rubbing under heavy load or hard turning.

ok im not "ghetto fabulous" or anything like that...I just want a nice looking rim and I really like the look of the Dramas...

How much would a brake system upgrade cost me? Do I have to buy a lowering kit or anything like that?

I dont really know too much about these things I just have a friend of mine do the work for a few hundred bucks.

whats "rolling" the fenders mean?

Jesus

the one advantage to squeezing 21's into a maxima: instead of tires, you can just wrap a few strips of electrical tape around the rim...that's all the rubber that you'll be able to fit

you should probably do a 2" body lift, not lower....

stop hating.

let all these cornballs roll their stillen kitted, 5 spoked, maxspeed lowered, bootleg warpspeed piped, maxima.org sticker patrons around in a cookie cutting blue angel formation with matching t shirts and haircuts.

do something different for gods sake. if this cat wants to ball out on some 21's let him, to each their own. everyone elses car is garbage compared to your own anyway, right?

then don't get 21" rims on a CAR. that defines "ghetto fabulous". that's a 1/2 step from a purple velvet suit, and gold teeth.

Yeah, because your clear side markers are SO original. STFU. Who's hating now

People should not get bitter if people are giving HONEST input...this is a forum after all. If you don't want to know what people REALLY think of your ideas, don't post them on a forum, keep them to yourself. God knows I get bashed all the time for things I do...so what? We all have opinions, and half the reason we come to the org is to express those opinions. The other half is to ask for others' opinions. There is no such thing as "hating" here, there is simply "expressing a contrary opinion". Get over it.

I guess luxbond would just like every thread to have 100 posts by other members that say "Yeah, that's a neat-o idea. Way to go!!"

whatever....

Anything above 18 is already pushing it, IMO. Some 19s look pretty decent like the Modas and the Miglias. That's about it, though.

i appreciate most of your posts...and i mean most...the rest of you guys really need to grow up. If I could drop my car...put 21s on it so it looked sick with just barely any tire showing (rest under the wheelwell)...I personally think it would look cool. My car on bricks? What would lead to that? Does anyone have input on what springs to get, brakes etc etc?

I was also considering picking up the frankencar catback exhaust and possibly a new y pipe (concerned with the fact that ill lose a catalytic converter tho)...

i'm probably one of those guys that "really need to grow up." it's your car,
do what you want. it just seems like a really expensive way to compromise
ride quality, and looks. not to mention the fittment issues you could run in to. if you do decide to do this...this horrendous mod to your maxima, be sure to post pics. but, if you want to save yourself some grief, just don't do it.

Just so you know, once you get those 21s on, your car will be about as slow as the Ford Tempo beater that I learned to drive on.

Edit: Also, we're ragging on you because you quite clearly don't know what the hell you're doing to your car.

"car on bricks" is a reference to getting your rims stolen....dubs happen to be a pretty popular target for theives.

It might also help if you put some information in the post, like where you live.....I mean, if you live in NYC or a metro area with bad roads, you certainly don't want anything bigger than about an 18....But if you live in, say, Arizona where the roads are smooth, nice, and the weather is always good, than you could do the 20s or 21s safely...

Y-pipe you only lose the "precat" not the main catalytic converter.

The frankencar catback is beautiful and sounds great (it is very quiet, and mellow)......I would go for it.

thats in my profile?? man its been a while. I don't know really I like the looks of the giovanna dramas...theres really no drug dealers in my small town anyways...I also like the looks of the foose lusso rims...i am concerned with the fact that i'd have to "roll" my fenders and i really dont want to modify or **** away money into huge brakes etc etc just for a stupid mod. I just figure why blow $$$$ on having a rim 1 or 2 inches bigger when I can just go all out.

I actually only drive the car about 75 miles per week (have a company car that I use)...

I have everything else for it...my system has won several SQ competitions...figured maybe, just maybe id focus on something else for a change. Are 20's also a bad investment? I didn't realize that I'd have to do all of these mods for a car that personally I don't think is worth it...its just a nissan for christ sakes.
