Can someone give me the instruction for programming a remote for a 00 Maxima.

Have you tried the owners manual? BTW, did you buy the '00 remote for your car, or for someone else? I heard that the remotes weren't compatable.

 

No it's not for my car, it's for my mother's car and we don't have the manual for the 00 Max

Is it the same process as on the 4th gen?

Someone please help me out, my dealer here is not the friendliest and will charge me to do this.

 

I would try it, the worst that could happen is that it doesn't work. BTW, you can order a manual for free from Nissan by phone. I don't know the number off hand, but you can dial 1(800)NISSAN1 and ask for the number. This also applies for the '98+ too.

 

I'll try that; if anyone knows or has the info I would still appreciate it.

The instructions are in the ESM, but there is not cut-and-paste capability for that page. It's too much to type out and send in an email.
