I took my max to nissan because it was having some trouble starting up on a cold morning. I thought i might have been the ignition coils, but they checked it out and said everything was ok. I asked them to replace the fuel filter anyways, but they said the 01 max cant change fuel filters because it is in the gas tank itself. I never heard of this, is it true?

 

yeah to access it, you have to remove ur rear seat and pull out that chamber..i'll try to find a pic

 

im surprised they didnt want to replace it since they would consider it fairly labor intensive. i dont have a pic but if you release the 2 tabs for the rear bench, it pulls out and the access port is right in the middle. there are a few write ups floating around here.
