Hyper grounding?

ok i am thinking of doing the hyper ground. looked at irish's, looked at the pro kits and everything. so the wires connect many ground points to a central if i am correct. but where does the central ground connect? people that have done the hyper grounding what does it improve. is it worth the money? please post back with info. thank you!

The benefits of the hyper ground are lower, smoother idle, and a slight inscrease in rev speed to name a few. It's only about $25 worth of grounding wire and connectors so why not? BlehmCo is selling pre-fabbed for like $43 if your time cutting and putting on connectors is worth more than 18 bucks.

Doesn't seem like it... although it is possible I guess... but I don't know a whole lot about that....

Haha... what a useless response by me...

I think the whole point of a hyperground system is to have all the grounds at the same voltage potential. This keeps the voltage being applied to the particular control unit steady. This makes for more consistant operation. As long as all the grounds are at the same potential throughout the car, that is all that matters. The actual voltage originates at the battery, so the central ground point is the battery's negative terminal.

Thanks for the much needed explanation...

Courtesy Nissan has some new grounding kit... has anyone purchased these? Seems kind of pricey. They do come with instructions.

i know the auto's notice a huge diff because of the downshift, but has anyone with a 5spd noticed any performance increase, other than the smoothness easy starting?

the 2002-3 is the same idea.....I've done one of them as well. ground points are similar, but location may vary a little bit for the engine grounds themselves. As much time as you guys spend on here, you should know enough about the basic engine parts to find things like the alternator, tranny, battery, etc. Then you can ground them to basically any frame ground (there are at least 5 or 6 of them in the engine bay)......

I ordered it and it will be here tomorrow. Another X-mas present. The kit looks solid, better guage wire than other pre-fab kits I have seen. I can post some pics and stuff of the kit once I get it installed.

Wow, 80 bucks. It must be nice having money to spend.....that seems a bit steep to me. You will have to let me know when you do it because I was wanting to hg my 2001 as well (but using Home Depot as my parts source, lol).

wats up peoples!! I have a 2k1 maxima, and i actually installed a hyper grounding kit in my car.. $50 is way too much money...I bought mine off of ebay for like $30 with shipping and handling. i got a universal JDM kit. and yes its worth it..after I got them installed you can tell there's a little bit more gas pressure on the gas peddle.. All you have to do is to make sure that atleast one point is connected to where the battery is grounded as well and have the other wires connected to metal. Not sure about anyone else, but on my maxima its a 5spd, and i had like a 2sec delay when i would floor my car but now its all gone. U can actually feel the difference in the car as well.

I just got and installed the kit from matt. Blehmco kit that is. It only contains 4 wires. One going from battery to the central grounding area and then 3 more wires going from the central area to the alternator ground and the 2 bolts on top of the timing chain case or whatever. If I want to ground things like my headlights and other things people ground on here how would I go about doing it. Can I run another ground wire from the headlights to someting I already grounded or does it have to go to the central grounding area that already has 3 ground wires attached to it? Sorry, but dont know much about this stuff.

I installed the Courtesy Nissan kit the other day. It was really easy and straight forward with the directions. I do notice a difference in throttle response (it is noticeably quicker). So it was worth it for me.
