back to stock or not?
guys im sure many of you have already seen the thread about the stock intake mid pipe vs the frankencar mid pipe in the 4th gen forums.
so here is my dilema...i like the way my berk midpipe looks and sounds but apperently everyone is in agreement that stock gives a better HP and TQ curve. so should i just put the stock mid pipe back in and leave the K&N pop charger, or keep the berk...or just put back the entire stock assembly??? help me deside!
here is that thread by the way...http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....4&page=1&pp=30

I would go for stock in your case. As most of us who have modded know, there is nothing like the OEM setup. Smoother, less vibrations, and about the same HP and torque. Personally, if I was to do it all over again the only thing I would probably mod is the suspension and exhaus manifold. Everything else would be left the same because the gains are so minimal there really isn't a benefit except you have less money. I am so close to just selling all my aftermarket parts because I jus don't see any benefit to aftermarket parts. A whole 5-10 HP for $500? Not worth it to me.
