I finally got the max outa the shop (TCM and Solenoid) after a WEEK of frustration. Simple fix... but I got to wait a friggen week for NISSAN to get the parts. Picked it up at lunch and love the way the trans shifts now. Very Crisp - no slippage at all!!!

I still can't believe my day....Let's just say I live in Houston and on the very best days It takes me 1.5 hours to drive 30 miles in traffic to work and back. For some reason traffic was extremely light when I got off work today. Wahoo got to run the gears and It was a BLAST! The trans seemed to love it too. To top it off, while cruzing around 80 passed a Honda s2000 or 2000s (whatever)- he looked over and definately wanted some of the max. I didn't think I'd have a chance with an auto but....we ran from about 80 to 120 and I pulled steadily. I know down low he would have packed my sh$@, but from 80+ it wasn't close. WHAT A DAY!!!

 

A week is a long time to be without your Max.
Was the S2000 really trying? I would think that he would pull on you pretty easily if he wanted to.

 

There is no doubt he was trying. We played in and out of traffic for about 5 minutes running bumper to bumper, him in front me... me in front him, no doubt it was on! Finally came upon a clearing (me from behind) already running 80 mph up from 60 mph hard and I had to switch lanes to avoid hitting him.... passed him up to 120 before we had to slow down.

 

glad you got the transmission fixed up. It seems like a different car with the new solenoids when you really give it throttle. As for the s2k you raced.....very nice but I never would have thought that a max would pull on one especially at high speeds....
