all red tails

this weekend im going to do some work on my max, clearing out the blinker and putting in the malibu lights and hopefully making all red tails, but i havent seen any posts on how to do the tail lights, i seen posts that guys get a clear piece from ebay, but when u paint them, they dont match up... lemme know what u guys do, thanks

since he says hes going to clear out the blinker and put in the malibu lights im guessin he has an 02 or 03. Some org members use some type of paint to just paint over the amber side to match with the upper lens.

ya i got a a 5th gen now, i always forget to fix my profile, started off as slowjoe cuz i had a 93 gxe auto, then the 97 se 5spd, now 02 se 6spd, probably my last max too... anyway, do u know what color and type of paint u use to match it??

Testors candy red, you can get it at anyhobby store--I can't stress enough: Take your time, if you don't thew paint will run through the taillights and get below your reverse light and look hideous. Spray in short bursts, let it dry, and do several coats like this--DO NOT BE IN A HURRY!!

malibu lights r just a brand, its just a lens that you need to cut out to have it be the right size as the orange lens.... any hobby store?!? would they have it at pep boys??

love the all red(if its done right). but it reminds me of an altima. still looks good. post pics when done.
