Best Brake Rotors???

Yes, I realize that there is a supposed "definitive brakes thread" in the FAQs, but it really doesn't contain much info about SPECIFIC BRANDS of brake rotors. Not very definitive if you ask me. I did learn a lot, however, including that cross drilling is really just for looks and that slotted rotors seem to be the way to go.

Anyway, my front pads are about shot so I got some Hawk high-performance ones. I figured I'd go ahead and replace the rotors too while I've got the wheels off. The stock ones are starting to warp a bit.

I'm curious what brands of rotors others are using. I'm thinking about the Powerslot rotors, Brembos, or the EBCs maybe. I like the slotted ones with a gold or anodized looking finish.

Let's not discuss pros and cons of different TYPES of rotors, just what brand of rotors you have, and, if you bought them online, WHERE did you get them?

powerslot rotors and hawk pad are the only way to go, if you don't mind the noise.

I have OEM pads rubbing on Slotted PowerSlot rotors... a lil noise in the morning until it warms up! (barely noticable) Other than that i love it!

There are brembo blanks out for 2k2/3s now right? If so, try www.raceconcepts.net. Thats where i always get mine. I think i paid $90 for a front set of slotted brembo rotors. Customenterise.com sells powerslots for $220, what a joke. And get some axxis ultimates or something..i dont know why people like hawk so much. Maybe if you really cant stand dust or something but if you want pure performance pick up some ultimates for ~45 or so from race concepts too.

I'm running iRotors slotted/cross-drilled rotors and OEM pads. I have been very pleased with the performance of this setup that I have been running for months now.

New to Maximas and so far I am thrilled with the car. I picked up an 02 SE/auto with 60K miles in great shape. The right rear rotor is warped so I decided to change all four. I got a set of Brembo blanks and Pro-ACT pads (they say they are the same as OEM) from autopartswarehouse.com with free shipping. $330 for all 4 rotors and pads. Good prices and excellent service. I also plan to flush the break fluid and replace with Valvoline synthetic DOT 3/4. I received the front rotors and rear pads (pads were OEM NISSAN). Still waiting for the rears to show up and I will post my experience when I install all of them. I was going to replace them with OEMs from St.John Nissan but they terminated their offer I guess.

Great forum and very knowledgeable members. Thanks!

Where do you guys buy powerslots and for how much? Just curious since I always see them listed at ridiculous costs. Anyone paying more than ~$200 for a set of FOUR slotted zink coated Brembo rotors is getting majorly ripped off. And if you want blank brembos then if should not cost more than $150 tops.
