I finally realized the full potential of my maxima at the autocross today. It was a school to learn how to do it right, and the maxima is really an amazing car...check out the list here of the top 25 and notice where the 00 MAXIMA SE is!!!!! (yes, that's it in 2nd place)

For some side notes...the celica that won has a completely redone suspension...I have no handling mods at all and was running on the Potenza RE92's.
And see that 95 eclipse in 16th place??? he runs 12's in the 1/4 mile.
I can't wait to get the RSB and FSTB!!!! I'll tear them all a new one!!! GO RACE YOUR MAXIMA!!!!

Good for you! I am a little confused though. Unless the drivers have no idea what they are doing, the 2000 corvette, 97 BMW M3 and 2000 trans am ws6 should be able to beat a 2000 Maxima SE with a stock suspension.

it's not about power

Autocross racing is all about skill, with a little help from how the car handles....power really doesn't do you much help in autocross. The Maxima does really well when it's driven right though!! I used to think it was a bit of a boat....but it's really not at all. All the pros there were really surprised how well it did, especially with the stock suspension!
