We really need to let regulars use search as well. This is getting so annoying, already.

Unfortunately this is a topic tha has been beaten to death. These headlights are a pretty crappy quality, I say that because I have owned them. Do not waste your money.

The only problem is that they would still ask this question anyway. I think that the search function shold be free, but restrict things such as avatars and picture posting to donators. I think more flaming needs to be in order to questions of this nature.

And at 200 posts, this guy should know better

Seriously. Half of them are apparently sh*t. Mine were dim as f*ck. Perhaps it's just the flash casting extra light on the rings. It's a buyer beware situation.

Yep. There was a post made by a member 2 days ago in which he took a picture of his interior lights in which the exposure made the cluster to have the LED look we all seek. Suffice to say, +10 "How did you get them so bright?" questions, he had to replay that they were stock and it was simply the way the photo looked

Some people only care about making their car look pretty and dont care about losing the functionality of the object they are buying. For example when you buy an hid kit thats over 6000k. If you only care for looks then go ahead and do you, but if not then dont get them.

I don't wholly agree with that. An 8000K kit will still have infintley greater light output than your standard halogen. The projectors won't have any significant greater output than your standard halogen.

Yes, but would you spend around 300-500 dollars on something that will give you alittle more light output then regular halogen bulbs. I speak from experience since i had 8000k and then switched to 6000k, the difference is huge.

I have heard they were bad, but do they really output less light then are stock housing on the 00-01? If so then it would really be a waste of money to look good if you can't see... Does anyone actually have them installed and have a "true" answer to this?

Maybe we should just make a poll and see what percentage of the org thinks they suck and who thinks they are good. But new threads will come popping up either way every week like it has been for i dont even remember how long.

i saw a car with these lights on when i was shopping for a Max in orlando. It looked incredibly cheap and plasticy.. The shine was fake.. stick with the stocks or do the angel eyes conversion with the kid from custommaxima or whoever else makes a decent kit... dont get these lights... they suck.

I'm not trying to hate... maybe they are nice to you but for virtually everyone out here they suck. The guy who ended up buying the car i was going to get in orlando that had these lights on them is dying to remove them.. they look cheap and are cheap at $299 a lamp... you get what you pay for... stock lamps are like $750+ at the dealer... as someone mentioned earlier its a buyer's beware and also to each his own. in my opinion cheap, plasticy, crap...

I got them and I don't think there cheap. I think they got a cool look to them. Could they be a little brighter? YES. But that doesn't make them cheap, that just means you got to get some brighter bulbs. But hey everyone has there own thoughts on the lights, and my thoughts are there not bad. Better than the factory 2000-2001 style.

Is there any difference at night from the lights you have from the original oem 00 lights? Also how easy were they to instal and do you have brighter bulbs in them?... any info would be very helpful I really want to know if you can see better at night then the original

I hear that these things are brighter than the stock ones..I almost bought some black ones, but it never happened. The seller was only selling em to me for 180shipped too..My friend has an eclipse and his projectors use H7 bulbs, these only use H3s, which are really lame and weak..I wish there were some projectors that were H7s..I don't want HIDs..Neh..Either way it's all a waste of money, I mean it's just lights..Btw I notice on those pictures of the hls that they were over head shots and side shots..What about in car shots, and front shots? I mean how bright are these things really?! They look nice I guess, but I think they should make some that use H7 bulbs and not pos 3s....Who the hell comes up with these ideas?! Stupid people...

Remember that "bright enough" is in the eye of the beholder. The only real way to compare lights is to line up the different choices side by side and take a few quality pictures, inside and out. Unless, of course, you can be there in person. Caveat emptor.

But I mean the 5th gen (00-01) uses what 9004/h3 hl bulbs right? These just use h3s or what? I'm so confused on that..My hl bulbs are APC Xenons, not that bs hyperwhite crap with the blue tint, these are bright white..I can see for about a block and a half away..Are the projectors this bright? If they are then they're worth it, if not then they're not..I heard something about the beam projection being offset or something..

I got the lights and I think they are pretty good. Low beam isn't up to par but maybe it'll be better with HIDs in it. As for it being "plasticy" wtf are they suppost to be made of. Friggen idiot. my stock ones were made of more plastic. If anything they are less plasticy then stock. Also, the high beams are much brighter then stock. Also, let me make it clear, because people are retards and are to lazy to read my sig, I own a 2k1. All u 2k2-2k3 people shutup, we know ur lights are better and most of us cannot afford to put ur crap in our car, and if we can afford it why would we want to spend all that money for headlights. Does anyone know if someone tried putting HIDs in the projector?

Correction.. us 2k-2k1 owners use an H4 bulb for our headlight, and H3 for our fog light. hmmm what does this say about these projectors, that they are as bright as a damn fog light. im sorry but i dont think that thats right, thats why they make an H3 bulb for fogs, which arent meant to be too bright.
