question about RIM and OFFSET

For example: If i were to get some 20X8.5" rims and some 245/35/20 tires, what offset would be ideal for this setup? would i 38 be good so that i wont rub..? how about a 42?? any help would be appreciated...

38 would work ok most likely, with a 35 series tire you may or may not run into some rubbing when your suspension compresses assuming that your car is real low to the ground. Id probably go with a 30 series tire for 20's. If you get your fenders rolled your golden.

Most shops roll fenders, Some have this baseball bat method, but i wouldnt go that route. Id do the 245/30/20. 245's are what im running on my 8.5s as well, perfect fit.

38 or 42 both offset will work i would probably run the 42 since your so low and get the 245/35/20 tires
