brakes

i drive a 2001 max. i have about 84K miles on it. i know after that many miles something is bound to break. especially if i do the work to my car myself. recently i have had a problem with my brakes. they are making the sound the brake squeeler makes when the pads are gone pluss a bump bump bump sound which vibrates the car. i looked and saw i had a bolt missing(the one that holds the caliper into the "frame". i replaced it and the bump was replaced with another bump that isnt quite as bad but still scares me and the squelling is still there. if you know anything about brakes please help me with this problem. thank you in advance.

if u knew the rotors were warped why did u mention the part about the vibrating....well guessing from what u said in ur first post. im assuming you installed the pads yourself. a bad install job will also cause the brake pads to squeal due to improper shim seating.

try providing more information so people can get a better idea of what you're trying to describe. where is the noise coming from? is it a metallic sound? more info...
