needles

just posted this in the general discussion, but i figured i'd get some more exposure here too.

Does anyone make aftermarket needles for our cars. i have an 01 AE with the orange needles. i want clear ones, i think it would look good with the chrome guage rings. i know you cant sand down the needles either, they are orange all the way through.

anyone know of aftermarket needles?

thanks!

Well, I have taken the needles off of my Max and also in some old work I did on my last car...it seems as though the mounting pin is of universal size. SO, I suppose you could just buy some lexan-based needles somewhere or swap the needles off of a 4th gen Maxima...which of course, are lexan needles

you could also just leave the needles on and take some sand paper and carefully sand the back of the needle. This will remove the red...note you won't be able to see the needles during the day.

No, you can't. The only needles that you may do that to need be lexan based, which the 5th gens aren't.
