Weird behavior of my Max

This evening i had my car running when i went to check the post office mail box cuz i had my friends in it... i came back and heard this slight banging sound coming from the engine (almost like something hitting the hood).. i popped the hood and looked i could hear it a lil louder now... it appeared to be coming from the back of the engine (back of the engine cover) so i shut off my engine and started it up... no noise now... but the engine seemed to be running a lil harder! So i started driving it... the transmission seems to shift smoother now, but i feel like theres a lil bit of power loss... i didnt want to floor it and cause any more damage if there is any... my 3/36 warranty ran out yesterday! But i had bought an extended platinum warranty thru AAA a year ago for 7/84... so im not too worried... how strict are dealerships about warranties running out... The service advisor is a good friend of mine... so hopefully he will do whatever is needed under the factory warranty...

Any idea whats going on with my Max?
Please reply ASAP cuz im taking it to the dealer tomorrow...

I have a stillen filter on it and have had it for 3 months now... other than that its stock engine... Should i remove the Stillen filter before taking it in?

Thanks in advance.... Im a bit worried!!!

What were your friends doing in your PO Box??

J/K, I know what you meant. If you have a buddy in the service dept., I'm sure you'll have no problem especially if your only over your 3/36 by a few miles. I used to work at a Nissan dealership and we could find ways to get around that 3/36 expiration.
