Just put Eibach springs, illumina shocks, front strut bar, and a rear sway bar...

Alright everyone. I just put some major mods on the car. I figured that if I was going to do the suspension I should do it all at once. Well any way, I was wondering if people knew if Eibach lowers the back more then the front? Right now my car is slightly higher in the front (looks that way, and peels out a little more in the rain.) I installed stillen camber plates (which were a real pain in the *** to install! took 9 hours to do the front ) Well, I have just started riding around in the car (did the job last friday the 31st but I was wondering if the car is just settling, and that is why the front is slightly higher then the back right now. I have heard that the front spring will lower slightly over a month (because of the weight of the engine.) I was just wanting to confirm this idea. Any thoughts would be great (oh, and I just got it aligned too... seems a bit better, but the back still looks lower.) Any thoughts would be great.

Damn. Now that's the way to do it. Springs do settle over time.

Don't know if you've seen this site but it gives you an idea of how all of the different drops look. With the Eibachs the front will never be as low as the back but they do settle a bit.

all eibach kits sit slightly lower in the rear. it is not your imagination and it will not change over time except for the fact that all 4 springs will settle slightly lower.

The springs will settle a bit but as others said Eibachs sit lower in the rear than the front.

hell yea, that's how i did it too, a few years ago. The springs take a bit to settle in (the rear especially). Yet you will notice the front with eibachs will always be a touch higher. That's just the way it is.

Yeah, I saw the site. (That is actually how I decided on the eibach springs... ) Tokico shocks are great! Man, I have just been loving the curves lately. I was on a turn ramp (changing freeways / highways for you eastern people) and I didn't even notice that I was going 80 mph! I never go that fast on turns on a freeway! But it felt like 60 - 68 mph on the stock suspension so I didn't notice right away. Rear sway bar and the front strut also make a big difference with body roll. Its good to know that the springs will settle a bit, but I figured that the front was going to be a bit higher then the rear. I have to say thanks to Housecor! I used the "how to" section of installing the suspension, and it was very helpful.

Its a Stillen rear sway bar and Stillen front strut bar... The front strut bar was a peace of cake because it was adjustable. The rear was also easy to put on when I put the car up... Can't really do it with just jacks, well, you can, but that would be a crappy experiance.

Wolf:

You should now have a great handling vehicle. I will look to Housecor's site...just ordered springs and shocks for my vehicle, as I'm upgrading from 16" to 18" rims. The wheel gap (particularly on the front) was bad before, but it looks REALLY bad with the 18" rims.

The RSB is the best improvement you can make with respect to handling on this vehicle.

Congrats on your improvements.

An update on the install. Everything is great. Took the car on some nice hilly roads, and it handled em like a champ. The RSB is great! Sticks to the road without any body roll, but you do get overstear that is easily corrected. Man I love my ride. Now its time for some rims and some more ponies!

Cool to hear about all your mods. So how does it ride (compared to stock) with your new suspension?

Here are some pics

I just took these pics today at 3pm. Just a few side shots, and a shot of my FSB camber kit and ingen cold air intake. Just for you people who wanted a look. I couldn't get a good shot of my RSB.... I'll try another time.

Man I got to clean my engine....

The ride is soo much better with the new suspension and FSB + RSB... night and day for me. The ride quality is more stiff.. But I love it. The car really hugs the curves.

Just the way it is...

The front will get settled. It just takes more then the rear cause the springs are bigger in size. Well the front gap will be bigger then the rear though in anyway, it's just the way our cars are. I've noticed that on H-tech, Eibach, H&R, Maxspeed, and even Progress drop. it's just the way it realy should be, unless you get coilovers.
BTW you can go to my homepage in my sig. I have a bunch of Eibach drop pics there.

Hey WOLF, just so you know, that is my white Max on housecor's website with the Eibachs. That picture was a long time ago and I was running on stock struts (I now have Illumina's) and the front does sit slightly higher than the back in the pics and even today with the new struts. They do settle a little, but you will still notice a difference (I do everyday).
